Fit Turbocharger on Uno 70.. ?

Hi... again....
I wondering if I could fit a turbocharger from any Uno turbo model, to my Uno 70 SL. Mine is carburetor engine, I want to fit a turbo to my engine, but I won't change the whole engine (engine swaping). What i know is that the turbo engine use an injection system.
Anyone Know how to do that ? ...
Which is first from air filter..... the turbocharger then carb or the carburetor then turbo . Thanks.... a lot.....

woah there buddy,it dont just go on like go faster stripes.
1st the turbo is part of the exhaust. the engine on a turbo is different from a naturally asperated and fitting to your car would involve major changes.
either drop in a turbo engine or buy an uno turbo

As custard boy says, you're looking at least at an engine swap, basically.

The thing to do is to assess whether the rest of your Uno 70 is in *excellent* condition, if so, then you might decide to use it as the basis for an Uno Turbo 'reshell', which involves buying a rusty Uno Turbo and transferring all the parts over. It's a long, long job, because there's actually a great number of things different in the Uno Turbo (it's a much better car :-)

As you pointed out, there is the injection equipment. That needs its special wiring and control unit. Then there's the cooling system (quite different), exhaust, the transmission ('cause the Uno 70 gearbox won't be up to the task), the driveshafts, the brakes, suspension struts, and so on. FIAT/Abarth really did quite a thorough engineering rework under the skin - but at least the bodyshell is the same!

An Uno is not a difficult car to pull apart, if you're keen. But you also have to consider the insurance ramifications of re-engining an Uno 70. I think you're better off just buying an Uno Turbo at the prices they go for.

Or stick with the 70.

Thanks,
-Alex
