Question Uno Selecta problem

Dear Friends,

After not used for a month (I only warm up the engine twice a week), I was a kind of wonder having the car has no difference between "D" position and "L" when I tried to go around with my Uno Selecta.

Could anybody tell me why such problem happen ? Is this electric problem or Gearbox problem.

Best regards,

Hendro. N

Re: Uno Selecta problem

Hi Hendro
D is for drive and should give you the full range of forward gears. Where as L holds the engine in a lower gearing so for example if you were going down an incline it would brake the car speed for you.
You should notice a diff in engine speed between the two.
Try selecting all gears when stationary a few times then checking to see if D and L are engaging correctly.

Re: Uno Selecta problem

Hi, Peterg and Dave....

Thank you for your answer.

Dear Peterg, I agree with you the difference between "D" and "L". Apparently the problem is like there is no difference between them, so It must be something wrong with it. I'm affraid there is something wrong with hidraulic pump, so there is no CVT fluid pumped into Pulley. Anyway I will try your suggestion.

Dear Dave,

I'm so sorry for my poor English, I don't understand with "need good thrashing". Please explain me how to do that, will you.... ;-)

Best Regards for you all,

FIAT Uno Lover,

Hendro. N
