hi, ive got a 2.0 16v tipo, but wanting to put the red strip in the middle of the bumpers, like the uno turbo bumpers, on the tipo thread, they told me to ask you guy's on here, to see weather you now how to put the red strip on.

Hello there...

I've never owned a Turbo but as far as i know the red strip is made out of a plastic and not easy to get hold of.... but you probably knew this already. Red stripe on a black bumper, lovely is it not !

The red strip is plastic and is attached to the bumper with little plastic clips. The clips push through slots cut into the bumper. Pretty simple when you see it appart.

Can this not be replicated by using red wire of the same gauge and fixing it on with some compound of some sort?

No one ever done that?

Dan

We couldn't find red beading either, so we used red vacuum/boost pipe (the hard, plastic pipe) for the front bumper. And used 2 or 3 small screws to keep it in place.

drill small holes in ur bumper, then the white clips just pop through these.

really simple when u see them done.

the red stripes are very hard to get hold of, and bear in mind that the tipo stripes are longer as the bumpers are wider! but they are the same stripe if u know what i mean!
