Cool Turbocharging a Fiat 45

Hi,

I have a 1993 Fiat Uno 45 that has done over 80,000 kms. I am keen to turbcharge the Uno. Would like to know whether it is possible to Turbo charge the small 1 Litre FIRE engine of the Uno.

If yes, where can I get the procedure to do so. Can you also suggest where can I find the relevant parts required to undertake this convertion.

Cheers

Jaskirat

Re: Turbocharging a Fiat 45

This guys turbocharged the 1.0 engine (in a Panda not an Uno though)

He gives a run down of all the parts needed on the site:

Re: Turbocharging a Fiat 45

why not just get an engine and loom, 1299cc, 1301cc or the mk2 and drop that straight in? you'll be wanting to uprate the brakes and suspension anyway...maybe just get a turbo to start with? insurance company may be happier with a stock one that a heavily modified 45

Re: Turbocharging a Fiat 45

I could be wrong but I think the lancia y10 turbo has the same 45 engine but turbocharged. Might be worth a look.
