Bike Carbs on a Fire

Just in the process of fitting bike carbs to my Uno. I've had a manifold flange lazer cut just got to mock the carbs in position and make the tubes to fit. Hopefully should be done in the next couple of weeks.

Has anybody else done this?

Re: Bike Carbs on a Fire

I've seen it done on a racing classic Panda (Pandamonium?). Aparantly it was rather problematic and temperamental but produced good power at the top end.

Can't for the life of me find the links...

Lots of people have talked about this - but very few have actually DONE it! Well done! Can't wait to read about how it goes. Have you investigated changing the camshaft - I think that will be pretty-much essential to get the peak-power-RPM up to where those carbs will give their full advantage.

Re: Bike Carbs on a Fire

I want to put a bigger cam in, not sure what to go for though. They shouldn't be problematic as long as they've been setup correctly and in good condition. They're a brilliant design.
