Uno SX sunroof problem

Hi.

I have problem with sunroof on my Fiat Uno SX. Rubber on his sides is broken, but I cant find other to change it. In my country (Bosnia and Herzegovina) it’s not possible to buy it. In service told me to I must change whole roof.
If somebody has same problem and solve it, can you help me please. Tell me if is anywhere on the internet possible to buy this rubber for sunroof and is it changeable?

Is your sunroof the type with a handle that you turn, like a window-winder handle? The glass panel opens and slides back?

What you must do is to remove the headlining (trim, handles, sunvisors, mirror), then unbolt the 10mm nuts that hold the sunroof assembly to the roof. Then you can remove the rubber seal from the edge of the steel plate. If you clean the rubber, then add silicone sealant UNDER the rubber lip, you will find that it seals against the glass better. Costs very little but most of the work is in the cleaning (and repairing any rust that you find - wirebrush and paint).

Also you must check the rivets that hold the aluminium slide frame to the steel plate. These become loose and the glass is not held tightly against the rubber seal.

Fiat still list the sunroof seal for the tilt and slide Hollandia sunroof that was factory fitted to all mk1 Unos and facelifte mk2's. If you can get onto Eper (it's not working at the moment on here) then you'll find it in the mk2 Uno Turbo section. It's the same sunroof as fitted to the other Uno models except the later mk2's, which only had a tilt sunroof.

Last time I enquired, about 3 years ago, the seal was listed at something like £45. It's not cheap! But I'm not even sure if it's still available, and I also tried other sunroof suppliers with no luck.

Basically you need to try Fiat or a scrapyard. Good luck!
