| Aerial Uno 1.0 IE - does not have an aerial fitted but there is an aerial connector at the radio console end. I can not see where this goes to in the car, it dissapears upwards under the facia, is it possible that it goes to the roof area and a hole would have to be drilled to mate up with it. ie the connector is part of the car loom even though no aerial is fitted? I measure 5 ohms across the console end of the aerial plug (which is a standard areial radio end plug) which seems odd? Thanks for looking.

| Re: Aerial On the Uno there an accessory aerial that fitted between the Passenger side front wing and the door. The wire then runs behind and along the dash

| Cinq gone, Uno asylum! | Re: Aerial With the exception of my first Uno all mine have had a roof mounted ariel, just above the rear view mirror. I think that base model Unos didn't come with one fitted, which may explain why my first base model 45 had an aftermarket wing mounted ariel. If you take out the rear view mirror assembly you will see where the ariel should come into the car. The lead to the ariel should run from above the mirror unit, under the headlining to the driver's side 'A' pillar, down the 'A' pillar (underneath the plastic trim), out from under the trim to the underneath of the dashboard and then across the underside of the dashboard to the radio housing in the centre of the car. If your Uno doesn't have an ariel then I'd suggest going to your nearest scrappy and poaching one off a Punto or other such car with a similar front mounted ariel. You should also get the lead for it too. Then it's just a question of drilling a hole in your roof after removing the mirror unit, fitting the ariel and threading the cable to the radio housing as per the route I mentioned above. Good luck ![]()
