uno turbo graphics.....

i'm having a bit of a dilemma here, what to adorn my tub with, there appear to be a few variations around of the original side graphics, one has "TURBO" in large outline, the other has a series of three stripes, the lower on, the thickest, has uno turbo i.e. cut out:

as arbiters of good taste, what do you all think i should stick on before the arches go back on?

Re: uno turbo graphics.....

If you'll have black arches and sill covers I say none. Keep it clean and simple and let the lines of the Uno flow naturally.

*says Chas with similar stripes on his 70SX *

Re: uno turbo graphics.....

Do you need it to say Turbo down the sides?

I'd say go for the sleeper look and don't refit the sill protestors or spats

Get an Uno 45 badge for the rear Maybe get the stripes which say “Formula” so people like me think your running the pushrod 903

Seriously, it would be authentic to have the later style (multi line) graphics if any as you have the later Uno.

Louie.

Re: uno turbo graphics.....

i like the graphics, but also like without too (like the red one), besides being a product of the 80's, it was inevitable would have something to proclaim its intentions...i have got a 45s badge somewhere, but was actually thinking about buying a vw touran badge and chopping it down as i like the font

This is the Uno Appreciation Society, so we have to be accurate!

I don't have any side graphics on mine, but my pick of the bunch would be the stripes with Uno Turbo i.e. as in the advert pic (the one where the reflection is a Formula 1 car) - it might be tricky to get these stripes re-made. I guess I would pay a moderate amount for the design as an Autocad file (etc.) so that a local vinyl cutter could reproduce them. There would be a red stripe first, with the black overlaid so that 'Uno Turbo i.e.' is in red-outline.

Re: uno turbo graphics.....

I think you need bright florescent orange letters about 2ft high saying Turbo down the side and some smaller florescent green letters with the words bad boy. Wicked.

I'll get my coat.

LOL

Yes, I was going to suggest "Uno!" on a 30-degree angle, starting with the tip of the U on the rear side window, and the point of the exclamation mark on the driver's door. Most of the windows would be obscured too, so that would be a bonus.

Or, alternatively, you could paint it white.

Re: uno turbo graphics.....

Good find. That uno is a bit dissapointing it's got a Mk2 bumper and some Oz wheels although they look pretty reasonable!

Perfect! I think that's exactly what I was after.

So those are an accurate rendition of the black side stripes and red Uno Turbo i.e. lettering? One of my biggest fears with viewing Italian eBay auctions is that I'll bid and then end up with the 'OZ' sticker for the wheel or something

Re: uno turbo graphics.....

I have bought these myself and they come no problem what so ever.
just go to google translate and it will translate the website for you.
When you buy them you need to put weather you are after Black and red OR while and Silver.

They are not factory but they are good for what they cost. I watched some fiat decals go for 150+
As its a solid black strip with red vinyl over the top and the bottom to get the spaces AND its says Uno Turbo IE rather than Turbo IE which seams what over seas unos had Uno Turbo IE.

I bought them as a back up until i can find some genuine ones.....
