I want to move the position of my wiper so that it isnt flat on the bottom of my windscreen, its on a 30 degree-ish angle.

Does anyone know how to do this?

Ive noticed Niode has his in the centre, how did you move it?

Surely you cant just move the wiper otherwise it will go off the screen at the opposite side, you must have to move the motor but im not sure...

Any ideas???

im in the middle o finding out, sort of messing about abt with the motor. at the moment i've just un-skrewed the wiper, took it off and re-positioned it in the centre. how ever the wiper will go off the screen. (i have to jump out and re-position it when it rains). but as i said im looking into it. if i can work it out, i shall let u know

Chris,

Apparently it can be done quite easily, but I'm not sure exactly how. A lot of the custom car boys used the Uno windscreen wiper motor as it is compact and can be made to park in the upright position.

At a guess, I think you have to take it apart and reposition the gearbox by about 90 degrees. Either that, or reposition the self park switch inside the motor.

Sorry I can't be of any more help, but I do know it can be done!

Anyone else know?

Ok this is a very crude but effective way of getting ur wiper to stay in the centre position of ur windscreen, basically switch on ur wiper and let it get to the centre position then cut off the ignition so it stays there in the middle, might be a bit tricky to get it dead centre but its easy when u know how lol Then Remove the fuse for the wiper so that when you restart the ignition the wiper blade will not move. Hey presto u got ur wiper in the middle, just dont lose the fuse cos if it rains and ur on a motorway for example may be a bit difficult to put the fuse back in.
For anybody thats got a Uno Turbo an easy way to do it is to use a motor off a normal 1.0 uno, This is because the motor has only two speeds whereas the uno turbo motor has three. Therefore when u try and use the third speed on the stalk the wiper stops wherever u want it to on the windscreen. I only found out by accident as well
