Interesting UT video

Found this on Youtube, shame it's all in Spanish as I can't understand a word of it! However, many of the shots show an engine that looks like some kind of twin cam compared with the standard UT sohc engine? Must be some kind of south American model?

Re: Interesting UT video

I don't think it's Spanish - I think it's Italian - I think Nuvolari tuning is an Italian company named after the famous racing driver, and the cars don't have the clamshell bonnets that we expect of the Uno from Brazil.

I think one of these has the Coupe Turbo 16V engine, and the other has an 8V engine, maybe from the Delta HF Turbo or Delta Integrale 8V. I presume that the 'Uno Turbo i.e.' lettering has been carefully grafted-on to the spark plug cover of the 16V engine.

Much stress seems to be placed on the use of Delta Integrale wheels.

It's strange that after all that fuss with the dyno, we never do see the results - though maybe they're included in that constant unintelligible stream of Italian.

I laughed at the choices of music (which is in English of course, over the top of the dialogue which makes it doubly silly) - especially 'Larger than Life (Backstreet Boys?!) and 'Unforgiveable Sinner' (Lene Marlin!)

Re: Interesting UT video

Thanks for clarifying Alex, I think my comment proves that I do not speak Spanish or Italian

I kind of though the cars were a later edition of the UT but I suspect you are right. They're conversions to the twin cam engines.

I wonder how well they go considering there was no mention of performance figures?
