Engine Coolant Leak at engine

Hi, can somebody please help me.

I have a '95 Fiat Uno 1100 Fire.

My Radiator got a hole in the other day and my car overheated. I have fitted a new Radiator, but now there is a coolant leak on the engine.

When looking at the engine from the front. Just below the part where the exhaust gets fitted there are four round plugs, plug number 3 has a hole in and it leaks coolent. Any ideas on how to fix it?

Sounds like your core/welsh plug has gone it should be just a case of getting another one and replacing it, depending how handy you are with a spanner. Im not sure where in gauteng you are but if its anywhere near south joburg let me know and i can recommend a decent mechanic if you like.

You make a hole in it and then lever it out. One way is to punch a chisel into it and then use the chisel to lever against the engine. It's what's called an 'interference fit' so the core plug is just pressed into the block with a little bit of sealant around the edges. You will also have to 'drift' the new plug into place using a hammer and something like a big socket. It's not difficult if you take your time

Might be easier that way to keep it square, plus you could always fish it out with a magnet if it drops too far in, I'm guessing
