It should be round about in the same region of power.... two chokes are more than enough for a 1.2 liter engine....

The manifold should show some improvement though....hoping I'll get 90 hp in total....esp if the timing is spot on
Thanks ahmedfura thanked for this post

Great work!

Thanks for letting us know what parts you used to make it fit and work.

Re: Uno Engine Swaps

welcome mate! I see you're a Fiat / Alfa driver as well ...

a couple of details on the punto 75 manifold...the injector holes need to be blanked out... I used a 3/8" taps to thread the holes and used plugs... one of the injector holes need to have an elbow fitted so you can attach the vacuum hose to it....

The reason it the standard elbow at the back of the engine protrudes too much and dosnt fit coz of the firewall....so it needs to be removed and plugged accordingly....

just adding some more detail to avoid surprises

Re: Uno Engine Swaps

After two months of painstaking work the engine is nearly complete; its missing only the 4-2-1 stainless manifold which the Italians are taking ages to finish and ship....

Had to run significantly larger jets to get the engine responsive and aggressive

55/110 primary
70/110 secondary

mixture seems ok, starts easily, runs ok ...plenty of power....lets see what a manifold and a full exhaust does to this baby...

Re: Uno Engine Swaps

How's it going now - did the Italians get the manifold finished?

Re: Uno Engine Swaps

Re: Uno Engine Swaps

And finally the Italians did send the manifold after a few mods and a few welds to attach the centre section of the exhaust...here it is....

The lambda probe also gave me a good indication of mixture settings....

idling and revving up to 2500-3000 rpm...mixture ok to slight rich...so i kept he same settings and same idle jet

above 3000 rpm... mixture lean off the scale...swapped jet to one size bigger (115) and mixture remained stable up to above 5000 rpm

with the above settings under full throttle ....engine is lean once again...tomorrow i will swap the secondary main jet....

i got a massive boost in power by swapping the primary main....i couldnt believe it...

Re: Uno Engine swaps

hi everyon, i got a fiat uno 1100 carb. i want to put a 1400 engine in. has anyone done it yet, if so, is there anything that you have to change other than just the computer box. changes in like mountings and gearboxes and others.

if that wont work, is there any change needed on putting a fuelinjection intake and everything on the engine.

thanks all, hope to hear from someone soon
