| Help! Console removal Hi everyone. My friend just bought a 1995 Uno and we are trying to remove the Central console. We manged to remove all the bits of the heat knobs, air vents etc, but we cannot pull out the console. It seems that there are some hidden screws. Can anybody help? regards malcolm

| Re: Help! Console removal There are two on each side (on the mk1 anyway, probably on the mk2). Two are tiny and are in between the dash and the console (hard to get at) and two are on the sides and screw into the dash.

| Re: Help! Console removal
It depends on whether or not you want to remove the whole lot i.e the heater matrix and everything... If you do there are 4 bolts the go into the bulkhead... 2 of them are down near the pedals (and 2 are opposite in the passengers side) take them out after removing all the other bits of plastic first and then the whole centre console should easily pop out... Remember that you also have to unplug all the electrics too though or they will keep the console from coming out... LobsterTC

| Re: Help! Console removal I recently renewed my heater matrix on the mk2 and removed the centre console and there are 2 small screws that hold the console to the dash, (when you have removed all the other screws and the 4 10mm nuts and matrix pipes the console should pivot up and down but wont slide out) 1screw is easily removed (drivers side) but the one near the glovebox, you cant get to, so shine a light down where you have removed the clock and and assoc switches and you will see it, i then opened the glovebox and melted a small round hole adjacent to the screw (with soldering iron) and slid the driver through the hole and released the screw, the console now will be free, dont forget to replace them, i know they are tricky but i dont do squeaks, a magnetic screwy is very handy, and a 1/4 drive socket set Ant!
