So whats the best filter to get 4 the Uno 999 ie Fire? bin lookingh on needforspeed.co.uk. I am lookin at the ITG magaflow? flat or domed? or shud i get the K&N bolt on carb? which would make the car sound better? guessing the K&N?

Im probably in the minority but id go for the ITG. Foam filters have a more 'throttle body'-type sound than cotton filters.

As for flat or domed, i dont think theres much difference, it save money and go for the flat one

I dont think the k&n will fit on a Mk2.

Be sure to check that the ITG one will fit as well, it should do though as its designed for both carburettor and injection engines, but i cant see where the adapter will go???

guy at halford sed it wud fit a mk2, checked it in the logbook etc

Hmmm i wouldnt take Halfrauds as being right though. There only bothered about selling stuff. Id ring up a few other companies, places like demon tweeks, etc, who specialise in performance parts see what they say and suggest.

the flat one will be a replacement filter for the original box. Ide personaly suggest you get a greens filter. sound nice

but is the green filter a replacement 4 the standard air filter?if it is i wud prefer a proper K&N so it looks the part

mine wasnt but i dont know if mine was a universal green filter or an uno fit one

the flat one isnt a replacement element, it junks the airbox and sits on top

green offer a bolt on cylindrical one that fits with an adapter plate onto the throttle body. It also come with breather filter.

i have a 306 green filter on my uno 45.....removed the origion filter from the filter box and the inlet pipe and bolted it straight on the end does do much for sound but it looks the mutts nuts.

K&N on my Uno 1.1 i.e.S. Can show pictures if anyone wants.
