too looking for core plugs
been told standard fire engine core plugs are 80mm
but call fiat and they told me there are three different sizes?!?!

yeah there are three different core plugs i know that, but the sizes i dont. I bought one was about 2mm too small! :(
great i will have a look and ask if they will fit a 1995 fiat uno.
Any one else with a FIRE engine just so happened to buy one recently or just kows the measurements of the specific plug behind the water pump?
Thanks!!

if you give fiat a bell before you go town and tell them your serial number or suttin like that they can tell you

i cant believe it.
same here! left my car at a mates cause the damn residents parking in london is a rip off.
dunno if you are replacing plugs to fix or just renovate but my ones are cracked and leaking, using barrs at the moment to temporarily seal them.
just wanted to ask you quickly tho are you going to replace them yourself? if so how exactly do you do that?just jab it with a scrwdriver and pull out? or are you going to a garage? if so how much will it cost?
sorry bout this i know this is your thread and im asking all the questions!

dont worry! :)
btw im 16 lol
i jabbed a screwdriver into mine and peeled it out.
but to put back in
if you get a socket that fits inside the core plug and have some space aounr d the edge about 1mm for *rattle* then u can hammer it in evenly

cheers for that mate.
i got a mk1 punto hope i can do it myself but dnt know if it will be too easy.
thanks again tho!
