Hi friends , I have 1999 uno 1.7D , my problem is somtimes when i start the car in the morning or after a long stop , it starts well but the engine oil pressure the red light on the console does not go off , i have to wait for 2-3 minutes, also at this time the break pedel is hard to be pressed
anythere to help me ?

Is the engine oil level correct? Is the oil filter a manufacturers original as it may need a non-return valve? The hard brake pedal suggests no vacuum at the servo.

Engine oil level is correct , regarding oil filter , its of good quality, but didnt know any thing about non-return valve?? can you explain , regarding the brake pedel , break pedel retruns to normal function as soon as the oil pressure indicator turns off! is the servo somehow linked to engine oil pressure

There may not be a non-return valve, but there are in some filters, it prevents the oil draining back to the sump which would cause maybe a 3 or 4 second delay in oil pressure build up. As yours takes so long I think an oil pressure test is needed, has the engine done a lot of miles? Also, on the subject of oil, is it the correct type / viscosity? I am not sure about the brake issue being linked to oil pressure. Maybe someone on the forum has good technical knowledge of your engine?

Strange sound from wheels ,

I get strange sounds from the wheel particularly when i apply break , roaring sound comes from the front disc break,, and from the back wheel its seem some metal parts is in contact with the drum , can anyone tell more about the design of front disc break , what metal? is used as grip , ?

Also is there any alternative for replacing the Main Engine foundation which is very costly, can i use any foundation desiged for any other car like Ford , Santro, indica, indigo , availabe in India
