Is this correct?

Is there still an Uno range still in production? (Somewhere like Brazil/South America?)

And if so, does anyone know the official name of the car - something like Uno Milla, or Uno Mia, or Novo Uno?

I'm wondering of it may be possible to use some of the components from this newest version on our older models, to bring them even more up to date...

From what I've seen or heard it's effectively the Uno Mk3, with slightly rounded off rear lamps, and a restyled front end.

here you go!!

Its based on the brazilian uno, so most parts are different. They had different suspension, body panels, engines etc

Thanks for the info.

So presumably it'd be just as difficult to swap parts from the Brazilian Uno, to the rest of the Uno range, as it would be to swap, say, mini parts?

The doors look the same....:)

Just had a look at the Fiat Brazil website out of curiosity.

There are two versions of the Uno still in production, one called the Uno, the other "mille 1.0 fire".

Exhaust, and a few other body panels are different. But essentially underneath the slight changes it appears they are the MK2 Uno's we all know well.

The even have the same interiors.

May prove useful for parts, should the UK/Europe supplies run out... :)

... I think the doors do, based on the fact that we swapped Uno parts (hinges, window regulator) onto a FIAT Penny (Brazilian Cityvan) a few years ago.

I wonder how much sea freight of complete door shells would be... tempting for an Uno Turbo restoration :)

Indeed. Makes you wonder doesn't it?

The price of them are dirt cheap in Brazil, but for carriage, it must be a quite expensive...?

Incidentally, you can look through the accesories section on the site for the "mille" version, and they have different side skirts, front bumper and rear spoilers, etc.

Possibly another source for bodykits for the Uno, which are generally hard to come by.

:)

These are on sale here as well , but with a 1.2 Fire engine 73hp
costs arround $9640 .. would be cheaper outside here ,but 40% taxes and customs kill it .

so it would be arround $6640 or something .

Still very cheap. $6840 works out at £3,454 in the UK. You can't get a brand new car for less that £5k in the UK.

That said it would left hand drive (not right hand as in the UK), and the import costs and taxes I'm sure would weigh the price up.

Still interesting though. :)
