Engine mountings/cam cover !

Ok....think Freddy's engine mounting rubber thingies are pooped. The engine moves all over the place and the rubber looks very perished.

How easy are they to change ??? They don't look very complicated. Any tricks to doing it ??

Also, he's got a massive oil leak from the cam cover. I'm presuming the gasket has seen better days. Is it just a case of undoing all the bolts and replacing the gasket or is it slightly more tricky than that ??

Ta muchly :D

Engine mounts - have no idea.

The gasket is just to slip and slide into place. Just unbolt and rebolt the cover. Get someone to find the appx. correct torque.

Morten.

Doing the mountings is relatively easy...if it's the right one (driver's side for UK cars) put a jack under the oil sump with a wooden block to avoid metal to metal contact and then unbolt the failed mounting!About the gasket there's nothing more to say;)

Righto. I'm used to working on cars.....just not Fiats !! Thought things would be relatively easy. Was just checking to see if there were any handy hints. Sounds straightforward enough. Ta :D
