(T) Brake Upgrade?

Guys when fitting Slotted and Grooved disks ,

is it necesary to do the rear aswell? Afaik its a 80/20 brake bias anyhow?

Im sure it would probably just be a waste of money for the rear?

Maybe just move the front disks to the back??

All I would reccomend is checking they are working! Check disc thickness and pad wear. Check the caliper works and use the time to clean up and oil the handbrake mech.

The bias is not a set ammount. It alters with rear suspension height. Because of this they put some adjustment into it. You can adjust it if you like. I had mine adjusted too high at one stage, it would always lock the rears.

Hey steve .. i remember a while ago on my previous Ut , I took the Sound out the boot , and went to the track .. fek coming down the back str8 the rear ends kept locking up like madd!

Get grooved and dimpled...

Grooved and drilled discs can crack but I dont think it happens that much. If you want to be safe then either use grooved only, or grooved and dimpled.

As long as they are vented then you shouldn't need the drilled part.

but the Drilled grooved disks looks oh so .. SEKZI! :P

hello my fellow uno drivers, i've got a question to ask, does the 1600 palio calipers and disks fit straight onto the uno or do you have to mod them to fit. The one oke here in SA installed palio front brakes on his UT. Thanx

No Not yet, can I register if i drive a normal uno, still busy with my UT project.

I drive an 1100, installed the UT torsion bar, UT front brakes, UT rear brakes, i just need to sort out my engine on this car while i'm still busy with my project. if you've got any parts around i could perhaps use let me know, will buy them.

those disks realy look nice, they are a bit expensive but, i think it's worth it. pitty they don't make it for the rear, know it won't make a big difference but just for looks.
