Re-start the engine after couple of minutes

Hi

I have the following problem with my car, maybe one of you heard about such a problem or know how to solve it.

I have Fiat Uno model: EI55A146
Manufacture year: 1995
Engine capacity: 1372cc
Engine model: 160A1046

After the engine is hot, I turn off the engine. If I want to re-start the engine after couple of minutes but at a time range of 15 min. to 2 hours, I have to try many times to re-start the engine; It can be over 10 tries.

Usually engine ignition problems occur at morning time while the engine is cold but my car's problem is when the engine is hot.

We check petrol pump , sparks , heat sensor unit , diaphragm pressure (in the petrol injection unit).

Maybe one of you could help me .

i had a similar problem mate, although i have the 999cc . the engine was switching off when i was on idle when it was hot. on my ocasion i had to change the whole distributor. It seems to be a problem with the distributors on the newer version uno's the cables get corroded after a time which make the engine to switch off when hot.

howzit, I don't know if your's is the carb model or not, but my father drives a 1400 pacer with the same problem. I think it must be something to do with the exhaust manifold directly under the intake.maybe the heat causes the petrol to evaporate in the intake.
