xenon headlight bulbs

I have standard H4 100/90 W bulbs in my headlamps, is there any chance fitting Xenon bulbs will give me some more light ?

And, is it legal ? I have noticed all the high end cars on road nowadays use Xenon lamps...

I have relays for my H4, so fitting xenons need any change of these setup / What are the wattage of these lamps ?

Re: xenon headlight bulbs

Here in SA they sell the kit for R2500 which is fu(king expensive just for a light conversion. You have to get the bulbs, ballasts etc.

Re: xenon headlight bulbs

sorry thought you talked about the bi xenon lights found in the new cars. the xenon effect globes are legal here by us and doesn't cost that much. never tried it before.

Re: xenon headlight bulbs

the xenon bulbs are standard power (ie. 55w) In the UK 90w/100w bulbs are illegal and draw twice as much current as the standard 55w bulbs. Light output from the xenon bulbs should be roughly 150% of the output of 55w bulbs.

Judging by the cars I saw almost anything is legal in India (car wise).

Re: xenon headlight bulbs

no.

Rules are there intact. But the people responsible to enforce law is all corrupted, biased, and are even unware of the laws !

But not in all cases, and it's changing. May be after two or three generations we will see some light on these conditions !!

And, we can make anything illegal legal by paying a little something - to the enforcers - hehe..is'nt that cool ........!!

Re: xenon headlight bulbs

jai,

no. not that further. you can escape a traffic light or two. or u can drive with a single headlight at night..or u can drive without a licence..or max u can drive without the proper docs for your car (not in all cases)..

Running over people - - never even think of it..We have courts here, and they are very, very srong, and sensitive.. Even though your life sentense may apperar after your death, still people respect them..

and , not all are corrupt.. even at higher levels, right people are there..

but , main problem is the politics..which is still immature here..but consider india as the largest democratic country in the world, and second in population status, that's all not that bad...

and, we are far better a state than many in the world.... may be one of the best in case of secularism and democracy..

It's all that people need to get more and more brains and that's it.

hope it happens soon..
