V5.4vs Connect System

Hi,

I spoke to the Connect people and if you have recently updated from V5.3* to V5.4 then you need to re-register your Connect system with the service centre (even if the Fiat dealer did the upgrade). If you don't the messages will be scrambled and the system won't work properly.

It only took a few minutes to do.

Hi,

Who knows, the dealer didn't know anything about it at all. As soon as I phoned Connect people, they knew about it straight away which is a good sign.

I am going to test it this afternoon to see if it really works.

Fingers crossed, the car seems to all be working now. The auto gearbox is a pleasure to use now. Still not sure why I need a new engine ECU as it does all seem to work.

Can you post details of where to call/contact (and who seems to know about this stuff)?

I tried to do this a few days ago and hit a big wall of stupidness at their end! :(
