| top gear 'flutter' Anyone else experienced this engine condition. It happens when in 5th gear at any speed below 50 mph. Similar symptons to changing into too higher gear at too lower speed. All lower gears are ok. Will eventualy clear when travelling at 55 mph or above. Car is 1995 2ltr petrol EL.

| suck--squeeze--bang--blow | Re: top gear 'flutter' Hi Terry and welcome I would first try resetting the ECU (disconnecting for a short while). Checking that the contacts on the ECU and the wiring loom are clean and dry. Maybe a small squirt of wd40 to help repel any moisture. Also worth trawling through past threads in this section for othyer idea's Cheers. Donald
