(G) Washers/roofrack problems with new Ulysse

We have recently bought a 54 plate 2.0jtd eleganza. Love it! Apart from the lack of owners manual, which it has to be said is causing us some headaches. Firstly the roofbars are in the boot and appear to be very reluctant to slide into the rails. Not sure if their is a fault, or we're doing something wrong! And secondly my windscreen washers appear to have given up the ghost, not good at this time of year. First we thought we'd run out of water, but upon refilling bottle, still no washers. Could be fuse i guess, but with out manual we don't know where to start. Can any one please shed some light on these issues, or better still, does anyone have access to a manual that we could purchace / download.

Nice choice of car [and the 2.0JTD is soooo remapable ]

The roof bars should only go on ONE way - there is a thread somewhere about this, which I will try and dig out.

Not sure of washers - it could be a fuse, can you hear the washer pump when you press the button.

I do have a Ulysse manual on CD-R - I will try and upload it to the FTP site at some stage, so you can download and burn yourself

I can't hear the pump going on the washers at all, so hopefully it is only the fuse. I kinda sussed out which way the bars went, but i think i'm missing the little star shaped key to remove the screw from the track. I'm assuming this is how it happens? (No manual is really causing me problems)

It could be a fuse, but the washer motors have been known to fail a lot. We had our's replaced under warranty.

I think the fuse for the washers is in the fuse box behind the panel to the right of the steering wheel low down.

new here, just bump into this thread and interested with the manual of the ulysse as stuard said earlier. Can anybody point me to the ftp to download the manual to be burn to a cd. Couldn't find it anywhere in the forum.

Washers i had the same problem on my Ulysse 3.0 v6 motor had burned out. Luckily was still under warranty. May be best to take it back to the garage if still waranty.
