NavTech Disk

Hi y'all

Having registered the Satellite Nav system over the 'net [didn't fancy putting that card in the post to Holland], got a letter recently confirming registration.

I was under impression you got a free update [as and when issued]. I need to check if there is a later UK/Ireland disk [mine is Winter 2002, I think]. All I got was a 10% discount voucher off my next order.

Disks cost £108 by the way. Sure we can get round that somehow!

Stuart

I also got the Winter 2002 disk and thought that as soon as I registered that I would also get a latest CD update, I think that was what is stated on the registration form.
Haven't had a confirmation letter yet so will have to wait and see

Hi,

Now that could be useful! But I think their website gives it at about 160 euros [soz, can't find that euro sign on this laptop].

Unless we buy one between us all and BURN it! Um.... Did I really say that on this forum?

Steve [damn, good try though]

Just noted that the Autumn/Winter 2003 disk is now out - did I register too early to get the update, so explains why I only got a 10% voucher!

May be worth an email to Navtech! Don't hold your breath for a response though.

I rang them up, they're calling me back cos their server is down. Funny, we say that in our office too.

I like the thing on their site about 15-20% road network changes per year. In my neighbourhood this hasn't happened - I'm all agog for my street to be re-routed though.

Hi All
I rang them up to register on 00800 18 23 53 22, the numbers on the reg card in cd box, they then sent me the latest Autumn/winter 2003 disk for free.

Hi again!

Great - now if only I had sent the postcard instead of using the internet; the timing delay may have meant I got the new disk.

Ah, I still have the postcard - I will register it in my name [the internet registration was the wifes]; lets see what happens, and hope they don't tie up the duplicate references!

Just had a call from a Dutchman telling me that my new disc will be sent out in the next few weeks (they mail once a month, it seems - praps it's a long way to the Post Office).

He also told me that we're entitled to just one update, so the next one we'll have to pay for. May Stu's idea about buying 1 and hrm hrm hrming it is the way to go...

Hi,

That's nice, I am half dutch and I don't get a letter or a phone call from them about an update.

Maybe I will soon !!!!

Anyway good idea about buying one disc.

Hi! Did I really say that - lol...PM is the way forward on that idea me thinks.

I have just emailed NavTech saying about the update disk [I am at work, and ain't got the patience to go home tonight to find that postcard]. BUT hopefully if we are allowed one update, then I should receive it.

Will let you know the response

Stuart
