noise in foot well

hello I am new today My fiat ulysse 200Lt jtd 2002 has developed a squealing noise from the inside on the right hand side the engin management light is going off but a bit slower than normal has any one had any thing like it or have any ideas

cam belt pully or slipping auxilluary drive belt?

That will be the additional fan for the rear air conditioning, it's behind the plastic cover with the ventilation grill on. If you switch of the rear air con on the display it will probably slow the squealing down. The fan won't stop but it reduces the speed of the fan.

The cover is just clipped on, you can remove it and spray some silicon based spray on the bearings to reduce the noise. It is a common fault, we have had it ourselves.
