I bought a shed sorry a 03 Ulysse 2.2 JTD prestigio with loads of problems and need some help and advice.
I'm going to start with the most commom fault, the headlights going on by them selfs...
After lots of reading I had a look at the BSM module and found some problems, loads of moisture inside, cut wires (?) and corrosion on fuse terminal and in the green plug.
My question... What are the symptoms of a faulty BSM appart the headlight with life of is own ?
I have some faults on the display but most of them are airbag (com2000?) related but I want to sort the engine bay problems first.
The BSM is a B5

Does anybody wonder what happends (damage) inside the BSM module ?
Have a look at the pictures
Picture 1 mainboard track and via completly corroded and missing
Picture 2 controller board connection pins (4) and 2 capacitors completly corroded and gone
Picture 3 board side by side with damage marked up
Going to see if I can save this one

Well one problem sorted...
After rebuilding 6 tracks on the circuit board and replacing the pin strip it works :slayer:
Capacitors are now on the bottom of the board.
Only have 1 error now on the display but thats going to wait next is the cambelt and aux belt + oil and filters.

Small update...
Cambelt + Aux belt and all tensioners and idlers done today
Engine running sweet and quiet.
Next oil service
