Had 2.2JTD Eleganza battery disconnected for last 7 days and the car will not start. Assume it's due to the immobiliser. Is there something I should be doing? a set routine etc. in order to get the car to start. Battery is charged and all lights etc. working, but nothing happens when the key is turned! HELP (please).

Mine lives in Greece and I disconnect and remove the battery all the time when away, (connected to solar charger) When I connect I wait until the doors will lock and unlock on the remote and then it will start. disconnect and leave it for a while then try again. I find disconnecting the battery is the magic panacea for a lot of EV2 ills!

appreciate your quick response. This was one of the things we tried but unfortunately didn't work. The last time the battery was disconnected for a period of time it worked, but not this time! It turns out that something has happened to the starter motor (which was fairly new) and we think it should be up and running by tomorrow - if all things go to plan, which with a Ulysse, is never the case. She's a B**ch but I love her.
