Hello all,
I have a 2001 mk1 2.0l petrol Ulysses and wondered if anyone could identify this part please. It comes from the front top of the engine in to the top rear of the engine and is made up from a plastic corrigated pipe.
There is a small amount of smoke coming from the back section where the pipe has broken when the engine is switched on,however the car appears to drive OK but I only found it when I pulled up at home so dont want to drive it anywhere..
I have attached pictures for your info,
If you need any more details please let me know.
Thanks in advance
Joe

Looks like the PCV pipe or breather pipe if there isn't a valve

Basically it takes the oil fumes from the crankcase and allows it to be reintroudced into the combustion instead of been thrown into the atmosphere

With yours been split - i suspect its smelling oily / hot as the fumes are been drawn in instead

looks like a breather hose..,
cooked by it's fumes/ engine temp,
I would temporarily joint the pieces back together ( tube bits up insides = (drinking straws..??)),
then tape over the joins,
look for parts here, http://eper.fiatforum.com/eper/navi...INT_MODE=0&EPER_CAT=SP&GUI_LANG=3&WINDOW_ID=1

then order from FIAT,
or Pug / Citroen,
Charlie

Thanks for the replys guys.
I've temporary taped up the pipe until I can get to a dealer, I dread to think how much that's going to be.
Thanks again
Joe
