Recently I've noticed that my car has developed a little bit of a rattle with sounds like camshaft followers.
The car is way way overdue for a service (been skint so I've been chancing it a little) and I really need to give the car a bit of TLC.
I need to get the cambelt changed - I did the serpentine belt recently and treated the car to a new tensioner at the same time but now it's the turn of the big bad cmbelt.
Realistically, for someone that's decent at spannering, is this a do-able DIY job or should I farm it out?
I know it's a bit of a pig of a job but has anyone here done it (I'm sure someone has) and is there a how-to around anywhere?

Thanks for any tips!
Cheers

Just done it on 2l 16v petrol, did water pump, tensioner and idler pulley.
Done a fair number of cambelts in my time and so found this fairly straightforward.
It's an unusual vehicle as there is nothing for cambelt change on YouTube that I could find.
Clearance is biggest problem at top and back of engine for me especially the cambelt top cover screws and water pipe at rear of engine.
Having done it once, I guess knowing the tools, sizes etc etc I could replace the belt in under an easy day. You need a decent range of tools.
You need the engine locking tools to lock cam and crankshaft
