Morning all,
I'm after a bit if advice please re the above.

I have a Mk1 2001 (Y reg) 2.0l petrol Ulysse, recently it has developed a problem starting.

When I turn the key the starter motor turns but the engine doesn't kick in, after a fair few goes at this (just before the battery dies) it splutters in to life and of it goes, running as good as ever. The engine management light comes on but this can be put out by placing the ignition in position 2 for a while.

After its started I can turn the car off and it starts again first time in the majority of cases.

Last night however I turned the engine off after a motorway run and it wouldn't start, I did however manage to jump start it.
Have you any ideas as to what is causing the problem?

A bit more info, Ive noticed last night while checking fuses etc that I can't hear the fuel pump ticking every time I turn the key... When I do hear it the car starts... Is there a relay or something I can check?
