 Cigerete Lighter stopped working - fuse OK I have a '96 1.9 TD and the cigerete lighter has stopped working. (I don't smoke, but its handy for the compressor, mobile phone...) I have checked the fuse and it is Ok. I have taken the dash apart, and the connections look intact, any other ideas?

| Re: Cigerete Lighter stopped working - fuse OK mine broke a while back , there was 2 black magnet type things inside that had broke off the sides so i had to buy a whole unit and fit it but dont do wot i did and , on the old unit i think there was 2 wires but on the new one there was 3 so i thort the extra one was the earth wire so i erthed it but it shorted the battery out,(DUUURRRRR) but after a jump start it was ok jay
