one prob solved two started

just as you solve one problem two come along "The joys of motoring?" and not just a Fiat!

Both could be related?
There is a knock metal/metal which at is heard at slow speeds going over bumps or turning to the right. CV joint replaced in feb (same noise) cv seems ok and was checked when I replaced all four tyres.
The second problem is right hand bends at normal speeds are hairy its feels like the the car lurches and the back end wants to slide out. Left turns are ok.
Does this sound like rollbar bushes?

Thanks in advance.
Donald

Change of sig needed I think

I would say roll bar bushes, but I am not sure that would cause the problem in right hand bends at normal speed.

Solved problems

The hub linking to the ball joint thingy was worn/slightly out of shape.
Engineer solved it with a stainless shim. Now no noise and perfect handling(well as perfect as a old Ulysse can handle!) also was found to have a burst drive shaft boot £40 all in. Did enquire about new hub but was told it is not required. Been a good customer to the engineer for a few years. So I have no need to doubt him.

Fingers crossed no more niggles for a while

Re: one prob solved two started

I would suspect also it has something to do with the roll bar.

Similar happened on an old car of mine.
