Traffic Info

Has anyone got traffic info on their connect+ system? Navteq told me it has to be set up by the dealer, My dealer told me that it was only available in mainland europe and not in the UK.

Is this the case?

The TMC (traffic alert) system used in the UK is a licensed version at the moment via Classic FM and will not work with the RT3 system. The BBC are doing trials for a free system which should work with the RT3, but it won't be available for a little while.

When I was in Holland, the system works perfectly.

Thanks for the info, when I was playing with it I remember it doing a scan and comming up with Classic fm and another one Century or Galaxy I think. so that ties in with what you were saying.

I am driving to Italy soon, did you need to set anything to get it to work in Holland?

I wonder when it will be available over here!

Just make sure you turn off the voice that speaks out the messages because certainly up until V5.5 it used to crash the RT3 in Germany and probably elsewhere. Other than that it works OK with no other intervention.

I didn't set anything up other than to make sure it was switched on and I also set a radius around which I got the messages.
