hello and thanks to any one who can help ....Have found a picture of air box from ulysse and the maf sensor is at the back of box but my out let comes out at 90 degrees and striaght into pipe no maf sensor its a petrol 2.00 automatic any idea would be great . want to clean it as car is often jumpy and nonresponsive have dissconnect map sensor made no difference

I don't think the 2.0L 16 V petrol engine has a MAF sensor. It appears to use an absolute manifold pressure sensor and an air intake temperature sensor instead. See below:

The MARELLI M4MP2 system fitted to the 1998 16v engine belongs to the category of integrated systems with digital electronic control via an ignition microprocessor with static advance and distribution and indirect intermittent multipoint injection.


The system is able to record a set of parameters via specific sensors or voltage data:

• engine rpm;
• the correct cylinder combustion TDC sequence (injection timing);
• absolute pressure in the intake manifold;
• intake air temperature;
• coolant temperature;
• throttle position and closure/opening speed;
• presence of oxygen in the exhaust gases;
• vehicle speed;
• exhaust gas recirculation solenoid position;
• knock (if present);
• air conditioner activation (where applicable);
• battery voltage.

Hi mate I changed the coil pack and the spark plugs and that cured the misfire on my ulysse 2ltr petrol/LPG

Im starting to come to that conclusion thanks Mark2
