I'm about to change the EGR valve on our 2003 2.2 JTD - are there any shortcuts? Is it possible to avoid anything? E-learn would have me remove the wiper assembly...

The shortcut will be in place on Monday - it's an appointment at my fave local garage, where it failed its smoke test today... 3.96. They can fit the bloody EGR, which I'm convinced is the root of the smoke/management/anti-pollution fault problem.
