Looking at a change of mpv today. Had a look at one with reasonable mileage, the usual one lady owner, drove nicely until the water started dripping down onto my jacket from the sunroof.

Investigation showed water apparently coming in from the front edge of the roof, the corner area of the trim were wet, and the floor had obviously absorbed a lot with all this recent bad weather.

Liked the car, is it an easy, or expensive job, to get a leaking roof repaired, or replaced.

The trader knew about it and tried to shrug it off as 'only when you move off' but not quite true.

Can't come up with any real answer on an internet search.

Thanks for that, the car had been bought and then returned and re advertised.

The salesman had some tale about the person had paid a deposit and then couldn't raise the cash so it was back on the market, but at £100 less than before.

Guess was the previous buyer had got a wet elbow as well.

I can't seem to find it using the search box, can you please point me to it

Thnx

There is the proper way and then the other way!
Fixed mine with a product called " Captain Tolley's Creeping Crack Cure" !! It is a watery product that creeps under the seal and then goes off sealing it. In fairness I did mine in the summer when it was dry and the first time it soaked well in, the second time around less so and by the third time it was not going in at all.
No problems since - it is available in Marine chandlers and online and some sometimes in the big DIY's.
