Valve Stem Seals

hi all, i have just taken the head off my uylsee and im contemplating changing the valve stem seals. i am only thinking about this because my peugeot 1.9 gti requires them to be changed at 100,000 odd mile or they go hard and cause a lot of smoke. as the engines are the same does anybody know if the uylsee engine suffers from this or if they have changed them?i.e type of material used to make them?

cheers

james

Re: Valve Stem Seals

Bound to be the same or similar.
If ypu've gone to the trouble of taking the head off then you may as well do the valves and the stem seals. Hardly worth skimping when goinmg to all that trouble.
