Is this the temperature sender, as someone here in the past has said? The temperature gauge goes sky high to 130c together with a red light and "STOP" on the display when the engine is actually cold... After a minute or so, the gauge drops to the normal, under 50c. Then functions normally. Bonkers.

Hi

I am having the same problem, but without jumps on temp gauge.

Problem description:
Car started, heat up in a while and sometimes STOP warning appear and red dot light on at tempereature meter. Temperature gauge is normal. 80-90 C. Looks like termostat is working. temperature going a bit high, attacing 90, afterwards drop down to 80. when termostat opens.

I realized today, also big fans behind raditor (we called it SAHARA) are working.

I checked water level. It is OK.

I checked termometer at water pump. cabling looks OK.

It seems like, car thing it is overheated, but it is not. Any solutions?
(sorry for my english)

Thanks
Miro

Trying to look for temperature sensor on engine

Today I tried to disconect temperature sensor on the radiator. At the back side, on top, in the middle between two big fans. It doesnt helped, fans still on full speed. Afterwards I disconected both fans. I did test drive - temperature OK.

Afterwards, I tried connect temp sensor,, and one fan. It was OK, fan didnt moved. When I connected second fan, they started on full speed again.

Any suggestions? Needs to be both fans connected to run?
