Noisy RT3 fan

Noticed the otehr day that the RT3 cooling fan(s) is a lot noisier than it was when we got the car.
Sitting waiting in a carpark with the engine off but the radio on low the fans where really noisy.
Anyone else had this?
It's back in next week for another look at the sieve for a sunroof and to fix the broken center rear seat.
Might ask them to listen to it.

This is weird

The more I read this forum, the more I find myself saying "Wow! Yeah! Me too!!"

Just today I noticed a weird whirring noise every time I accelerated. At first I thought it was something in the ash tray, but on closer inspection realised it was coming from the RT3 head unit

I've just obtained the latest UK 2004/5 Sat Nav Disc (€30 on ebay - nice! ) and am putting it down to that, but would interested to read others experiences....

Regarding the whirring sound. Is it definitely a whirring sound or is it more like a whining sound? Mine does this when cold and I think it is the Turbo it sounds a bit like a Police Siren in the distance.
