Well i`m wading through the issues on my 96 1.9tds ully i`v just got, but one thats gonna be a big concern soon is that i cant get the interior heater to blow hot air, i`v flushed the rad out, the heater matrix, checked the thermostat (ok) and refilled water, run up got 90c on gauge, checked fans both work(ok) but dropped quickly to 70c when drove around, but still no hot air, felt pipes for heat in and out of matrix and they`re hot, do these things suffer from circuit problems on the heater controller, any ideas or questions would be appreciated as i`v got rid of a perfectly good, working Toyota Estima for this and its making me wish i had`nt, although the fuel consumption is significantly and amazingly better

Does it blow any warm air at any setting on the dial?

(Also, nice to see another Grimbarian on the FF :D loL)

nice, another grimbarian, yeah, you get warm air, just not hot, temp gauge only goes up to 70c when driving, but coolant pipes are hot !!!!!!!!!!!!

I got bored last night, and two things sprang up: resistor pack or the control knob itself being slightly umm...busted lol

yeah, my mate who`s a fiat/citroen/peugeot fan says the rectifyers pack up, will nip to scrappy in morning and see if i can get one, where are they positioned, are they easy to get to

Pass on the Ulysse lol

Might be worth checking under passenger side dash?

went to scrappy today, got loads of bits, could`nt find resistor pack on car under passenger side dash though,!!!,,anyone got any other ideas where it could be, or what could be the problem with heater not blowing hot,,only warm, i`v put new thermostat in cos old one looked crap, also, replaced rev counter /crank sensor wire,,and still not working, and the reverse lamp switch i got was different,,,oh well,,,,,,,,,,,,but on the positive side, fitted new rear lower engine mount and thats made a massive difference,,,,so,,,silver linings and all that

I think that you will find you will only have full blower if the resistor is gone, sounds as though the heater valve is not opening fully to let in hot water to the matrix

cool,,its getting narrowed down, and where would that control valve be positioned?, under the bonnet somewhere or inside the cabin and in the depths of the dashboard, this needs getting to the bottom of as it was freezing in the car when i took the dogs out this morning

had half the dash out this afto, cant see a heater control valve, pipe comes from top of header tank through bulkhead down into matrix, out of matrix, back through bulkhead and down into back of engine somewhere, found everything else though including 2 heater matrixes, and found it surprisingly easy to get one out into the passenger footwell, flushed out, refilled and maybe a little warmer air

Hi, I seem to have a similar problem to this... My heater will only blow cold air... if feels as if there is some obstruction in the dial on the dashboard. It now takes a bit of giggling to turn it - but it will turn. It just wont blow hot air all of a sudden. Did you ever resolbe your issue?
