New Ulysse Owner

Hello all,

I've just bought a T plate TD EL Ulysse this weekend as no. 3 child is due in May. It survived the journey down from Middlesbrough to Devon and all appears well. What a comfy ride, I couldn't believe I had driven nearly 380 miles. Much better than the Pug 306 we had previously.

A couple of things - the bulb in the center of the dash is gone so there is no temperature reading, is this a nightmare to change? The clock bulb is gone too but I reckon that should be easy. Also, one of the electric windows is not working (rear sliding door one). It scares me as EVERYTHING seems to be electric - lots to go wrong.

I am getting the cam belt done and have got the car booked in at a local Peugeot garage - £200, but when I checked with the local Fiat dealer it was £470 !!! (although that did include a service).

Anyway, thats all for now.....

Re: New Ulysse Owner

Hello and welcome to the forum

We have a few old-style Ulysse owners who come on here, so may be able to shed some light on your problems.

ALL Fiats seem to be prone to electrical problems, even the new ones.

Re: New Ulysse Owner

Thanks! The car did offer great value for money compared to anything else and its mostly going to be used by the wife and children to get out and about during the day (I'm resigned to the train) and it certainely offers great flexibility. We worked out that the 306 would be fine, until it came to days out together and I would have had to stay at home.

One thing, I like to try and fix things myself were possible - is there a Hayne's manual or equivilant for the older Ulysse models (or 806 \ Synergie) ?
