Re: Electric Door

Looking at the mechanics involved, I'll be surprised if it's not a factory fit only option..... I certainly wouldn't trust any of the dealers near me to fit it and get it right!

I am not aware of it being a dealer fit option you would need wiring looms trim panels sliding door and the mechanizms to operate and they are`nt that good it holds novelty factor. plus the dealer would go grey if you could have one knowing he might have to fit it.

Re: Electric Door

I'd agree that fitting them wouldn't be worth it for the amount of work and cost. Even the keyfobs, alarm system would be affected.

I would defend their value though. Very easy for four young children to get in and out of the car with no trapped limbs, especially in the heavy showers recently. No cringe provoking slamming of the sliding doors by guests either. Plus it's a great talking point when transporting a few colleages to a meeting. And the kids cred at school is awesome!!

Re: Electric Door

I have just had the rear covers from behind the tail light clusters off and part of the door mechanism extends into there, I guess you are looking at the whole interior out to fit. Monster job even if you could get the mechanism out of an accident damaged car.
