Lock Problem

The remote on my 1996 Ulysse has blown and the key spins in all three locks. I know I can replace the lock/barrel on the drivers door but I have had a problem finding an old lock with a key. I don't want to pay for the complete locking/ignition package - I just want one door I can lock with a key that will operate the central locking.
Can anyone advise me where I can get a lock? Local Breakers are no good as they don't usually have the key
Thanks

Re: Lock Problem

Try spraying lots of WD40 into 1 off the locks. I had a spinning lock, I used WD40 with a pipe on the can, so that I could push the WD40 right into the lock machanism and used the key to lubricate the mechanism. This worked for me, nothing to loose, so give it a go.

Re: Lock Problem

Xantia locks fit. And as they are a relatively common car, you might have more luck at a breakers... I found a pair of locks with a key local to me. Fitted one lock (I will get around to doing the other!) and got a spare key cut.

Good luck.

Re: Lock Problem

Hey Elephant,
Same problem with my old ulysse. Don't go to the expense of buying a new lock . All you have to do is take the old lock off, drill a small hole and put a pin through so that it catches the mechananism.

Worked for me
