| Pimp My Bus? Having owned Japanese MPVs and knowing there are some out there which have been modded, I wondered had anyone ever really bothered with a Ulysse? (I have a 2.0S)...I'd start with minor engine tweaks, getting it breathing easier with some sort of induction modification, and giving it better leads, plugs, oil - and making sure it was working well in it's 'original' performance envelope... It's a good lump with quite a bit of power. A Mk 1 16v might be a much better bet, but they seem quite rare... I'd consider upgrading the brakes and fit 16" (graphite or black) alloy wheels with decent rubber. Exhaust: A custom SS system and/or decent back box and I'd consider a visible tailpipe... (Remodelling the rear bumper'd be fun)... Then we get on to the interior: Weight being the enemy, I'd have it as a four seater most of the time (as that's how many I usually use). Tint the windows. Exterior: a good polish would help ( ) but a set of 'Punto'-style white stripes might look good... or even (if you don't really care what anyone thinks ), debadge it and replace with Arbarth emblems.Just a bit of fun, chaps!

| Re: Pimp My Bus? Obviously as this isn't a thread appealing for help or complaining about something, it's not captured anyone's imagination! But that's probably because it's a daft concept ![]() But on a slightly more serious note: 'Help!' (There, that got your attention...) I will consider fitting 16" alloys to my bus when the time comes to replacing the tyres. Does anyone have the specifications (offset etc.) for them and - vitally - will larger wheels from another car (Fiat hopefully) fit? Any advice gratefully received.

| Re: Pimp My Bus? I have a scudo and am tempted to go down the similar route of "pimping" but I think alloys are a total waste of money so might settle for some subtle trims! Tinting the windows are a must my fun bus is simply a green house on a sunny day! I'm building a centre console that sits between the front seats to house my invertor extra 12v socket, a secondary battery (charged via split charge relay from alternator) a storage box, and a bottle holder that will take anything up to 2 litre bottles. I intend to add curtains as well so when i use it as a camper it's a bit more private! I've got some 12v halogen bulbs and holders for the rear roof section. I'd like to integrate some sort of car-puter (laptop) too for sat nav, MP3's movies etc, still trying to hunt down a suitable touch screen that I can either dash mount or have from a single din flip out. ![]()
