Welcome to the forum.

Have you tried stopping hard to see if the ABS actually cuts in, or do the wheels now lock??? May be worth trying this in the wet in a large open space, if you can find one.

I had this trouble a few months ago on my Mondeo after it had been up on some ramps for its MOT - the ABS kept lighting, and I had no ABS as such; however, it soon reset itself, luckily.

Hi,

If it is an electrical fault, I can't see how replacing the whole unit will help. Try a different dealer or find a ABS specialist. It sounds like a loose connection somewhere as it disappears now and again.

If your lucky, Ned will be able to help.

Good luck

Andy

I'm Afraid that these are the electromatic vavles inside the abs module itself. If its faulting these then i would also will pick the full abs unit, after all brakes are a saftey factory. This unit should not be opened or messed with if you do not know what you are doing or you might need you brakes one time and they may not work. Worrying. Is it out of warranty, or ask for goodwill.
