| How do I get to the front foglight? Basically, I need to replace one and I assume it's attacked from underneath. Any tips/instructions?

| Re: How do I get to the front foglight? Hi From memory, I think you remove the front section of the plastic wheel arch liner. Some fasteners are torx which can be rusty so wd40 can help. The other fasteners are black plastic and quite clever. They look like a single item but in fact they are in 2 parts. Remove the centre part first and then larger outer bit. they are clever because they are reusable while one piece equivalents tend not to be. Sean

| Hi Just done the drivers side on mine. Its a pig.....The easiest way is to take the grill off and the lights for the side your after, loosen the bumper so you can pull it away from the wing enough to get the fog light out. Take out the bulb holder, this gives you more room to play with. The top fixing screw is then easy to get at, the other two are just a fiddle. Pull the fog light out through the top. Then its just a case of fitting everything back in order. This method is a lot easier than trying to do it from the wheel arch, you would really struggle to get at the top fixing and past the spray bottle on the drivers side. Good luck Gordon

| Re: How do I get to the front foglight? What year is it? There are different means of attack depending on type, Old type up to 2002! is from underneath, Have managed to do new type from above. T

Mine is the 'old type' a 98 and having just done one I can assure you the top way is easier... The top screw is almost impossible to get at from the bottom, and you can't get the fog light past the washer bottle on the drivers side without taking it out. believe me taking the grill off and the lights out is no big deal, two screws from the bumper and it pulls forward away from the wing.

| Re: How do I get to the front foglight? Hi, Was on the wrong train of thought, I was under the impression it was to change a bulb not change the unit. Bulb no problem from underneath, change unit = front bumper off, T

| Re: How do I get to the front foglight? It's the whole unit. Thanks for the advice guys. I'll let you know how it goes. A bit busy trying to sort out the annoying idle valve issue at the moment. New (used actually as a new one is £101 from Fiat) actuator/stepper motor time....
