i have spoke to my mate and he says it was quite easy(but he has been a mechanic for nearly 20 years) he did say that he thinks a couple of the screws are in awkward places but he couldn't remember exactly as its been ages since he did it.
as for downloading the instructions i can't help with that, sorry.there are always workshop manuals on ebay on disk and printed but im not sure how good they are.

Re: Mileage disappeared.

Thanks Cidergirl,

I have presently got all the dash screws out, but fascia is still held by something just above and to the right of the steering wheel. Does'nt feel as it is going to release easy.
Is this how you got to the bulbs??
MOT around the corner so am trying to get fixed asap.
Any ideas?

Regards, VS

Re: Mileage disappeared.

Have now downloaded workshop manual to find last scew holding base of dash fascia is accessed via steering wheel knob adjuster hole and needs bendy like tool to do. Am trying to source one now.

All this before I get to the actual dash area.

AAARRRGGGHHH!!!

Sorry didn't post earlier, that screw is a notorious one, but the last one, hang in there! The torx screws are all out now if I read you correctly, carefully remove the plastic fascia, watch out for the mileage selector/reset button when you're lifting it out!!
Then remove the torx screws (four I believe) from the instrument panel and lift that out carefully as well.
Remove the bulb in question from the backplate by twisting and turning the holder clip from the backplate and push a new bulb in.
Then reassemble the whole shabang in reverse order.
If the you can't remove the bulb from the clip properly, I believe you can buy a complete clip with bulb these days.
Good luck, a bit of patience and all will work.
