warning lights and beeping noise!!

Hi, hopefully somebody here may be able to assist in me trying to trace my fault on my 2.2 JTD Ulysse. I have been searching the froum for the past 2 days to try and resolve my problem. I was driving home on a long journey and all of sudden numerous warning lights came on along with an annoying beeping noise from the head unit. The abs/esp/air bag light stop light brake light were illuminated. The car drove ok but the dash was lit up like blackpool illuminations! Now after searching this forum i suspected the battery, but it appears to be ok with 12 volts indicated across the terminals, but have removed it to charge it anyway just in case. I tried the reset on the rt3 head unit by holding down the dark button but it still came back. Now could it be the parking module ? if so could you please tell me where this is so i can locate it and clean it up check it is not full of water causing all these electrical faults?any help guidance greatly appreciated.
many thanx

Many thanx, I will have a good look around that area tomorrow, I forgot to say the rear wash had stopped pumping water about a week ago so hopefully it is the fault. I will post the outcome.

cheers

Are you sure the rear washer water line hasn't disconnected resulting in water ingress into various components inside the back right pillar? This is a common fault and could be a likely culprit. The water line simply needs pushed together.

Re: warning lights and beeping noise!!

Wow many thanx for the pointers. I had a look this morning and located the parking module, the rear wash pipe was disconnected and once the module was removed I could see where all the rear water was going!!The module was soaked in water, the 2 plugs were extremely corroded and 2 pins were stuck in the plug. I managed to pull the plugs apart and clean all the pins up. I will need to order up a new module, but the 2 plugs are fine. After cleaning it all up I left it disconnected and started the car with fingers crossed and all was back to as it should be on the dash thank god Once again this forum is proving to be an extremely valuable source of info, would of cost and arm and a leg if left with fiat to fix no doubt.

Re: warning lights and beeping noise!!

Hi, just had a look at the EPR parts for a new parking module, part number 9650400280, and was some what shocked to see a price of 202 pounds for a new ecu!! Now my question is this, what else does this module do apart from operate the rear parking sensors? Can I get away with not bothering to fit a new one as the part seems extremely expensive to me?

Re: warning lights and beeping noise!!

secondhand part? You can leave it off (dont let wife park the car) but make sure the multiplug that went into it is dry as its part of the CAN network.....the reason you had lights etc flashing on/off.
