engines in ulysse

Hi all were are thinking of trading in our 05 doblo for a ulysse, does anyone know if the engines in the mark 1 ulysse are the same as the mark 2 ulysse, thats petrol and diesel versions.
Have read about all the problems on the diesel mark 2 ulysse, are there any known problem on the petrol version of the mark 2 ulysse, used to own a
2000 X plate 2.0 jtd which got written off in a accident, wifes not to keen on the doblo
